IN LOVING MEMORY OF PETER NEE
Our family and friends are raising money to donate to the HDU (high dependency unit) at South Tees Hospital (James Cook) in loving memory of Peter Nee.
I am Peter's youngest niece, and together with my family, we want to raise money for the high dependency unit at South Tees hospital to thank them for their incredible help and support during the final weeks of Peter's life. All of the staff in the HDU provided amazing care to Peter and made the difficult and heartbreaking process of losing him so much more bearable.
Peter went into hospital at the start of November with stomach pains. Over the following weeks his health deteriorated leading to pancreatitis, kidney failure and pneumonia. Despite every effort and tireless work from the staff, Peter was just too unwell and lost his fight on the 28th November 2020. He went very peacefully and the staff made a huge effort to make the grieving and goodbye process as nice as possible, given the COVID restrictions in the hospital. The support that we received during this time from the HDU was exceptional and remarkable.
There is no way that we can ever repay them or thank them enough for everything they have done for Peter and our family, but we hope in some way, the money we raise can at least demonstrate how wonderful they are.
Many thanks,
The family and friends of Peter Nee; a loving brother, caring uncle and great-uncle and a wonderful friend (1962-2020).
We will miss him every single day.
