"What's the point? They'll be dead in a week?"

On 27th April 2020, we lost a very special man. The sheer volume of tributes paid to Peter Phillips Snr demonstrates what a kind, loving, loyal and funny man he was. Those who knew Pete, would likely be able to imagine him moaning about the unnecessary amounts of money being spent on flowers or gifts for his funeral, which is why we are instead asking you to contribute towards a cause he cares strongly about, a cause which has become his legacy.

Langley FC was founded in 2010 by Pete and his family in memory of his son, Leon. In this short time, the teams have enjoyed many successes on the field, but the accompanying youth teams have, and continue to, positively influence hundreds of local children. Whilst there have been a number of generous sponsors along the way, Pete had remarkably spent thousands of his own money for this good cause.

We are therefore encouraging people, whether you knew Peter or not, to help his legacy and good work to continue by way of a donation to Langley FC Youth. Your donation can be large or small, regular or one-off, but know whatever you decide to donate will go directly towards something he lived for - not flowers!
