Story

Mia Zara Tomor was born on the 6th October 2018. Mia has HIE grade 3. She had lack of oxigen during birth and she was born by emergency c-section.She‘s been cooled for 72 hours. She was asleep for 10 days. Unfortunately Mia has severe brain damage and limited life condition. She stayed in hospital for 6 weeks of her life and after this time we finally made it home. We were really happy to take her home but scared in the same time. The doctors didnt expect her life for long.

I remember the day when she was born. We went in to the hospital we knew that we will have Mia that day as they induced me. we were so exited to meet with her but we were so tired too as my labor started 4 days before so we were in and out. Our dream turned to be nightmare. They took everything of us. All the experience what we should have taking a newborn home. Instead of all of these experiences we have suction unit to make sure that we keep her airway clear as she has no suck or swallow reflex, NG tube feeding, passing the tube down in her nose, dystonia, spasms, epylepsy etc...

I spent night to find alternatives that could help improve her quality of life as well as speaking to different people who has experience of using those therapies on their HIE babies. None of these therapies are funded by NHS so we have to pay for them privately. These therapies include Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), privat physio therapist( PT) and privat speech and language therapist (SALT). Currently our biggest focuses are HBOT and PT as Mia doesnt control her movements much.

We hate asking for help but we are desperate to give the best chance to my little girl. Every little helps so please help Mia’s journey to be easier. Thank you for your donation and please share our page.
