Story

Apollo’s Angels are volunteers for the rehoming of gundogs in Cyprus. These amazing volunteers take the best care of abandoned and mistreated German short haired pointers (and other breeds) and help the lucky dogs find new owners and forever homes.

We have been lucky enough to rehome a 5 year old pointer Phaedra (named after her rescuer) and today celebrate her first month in the UK. After being abandoned and left to starve, she has had the best treatment at the rescue centre in Cyprus. Now she has a caring family and is settling well.

I’m coming out of race retirement to raise a few pennies to help these amazing volunteers with the costs of shelter, vet care, medicine, food and of course travel costs. Any amount would be simply amazing to help one of these beautiful dogs.

Saturday 11 May I shall be running the Stockley Park 10km for Apollo’s Angels and their awesome work and my sister will be running with me.

Thank you in advance
