    Story

First of all apologies for the lack of a photo, the page wouldn't let me edit the cover photo for some reason.

My wife and I are both in our mid 50's and both have various health problems, I am diabetic and suffer with peripheral neuropathy as well as having sustained a back injury a few years ago which left me with intermittent back pain and severe sciatica, I have also been diagnosed with osteoperosis. My wife is bipolar and has frequent debilitating depressive episodes, as anyone with experience of mental illness will know it's really difficult not only for the person affected but also for their family. We both work part time because we don't want to just sit back and take hand outs, we want to pay our own way as best we can, but we are both in low paid work and are limited as to what work we can do. We are in no position to make loan repayments so we are relying on the generosity of JustGiving donors to get us at least some of the way to our objective.

We havn't been able to have a proper holiday since 2009 but recently we have been given the opportunity to buy a pitch on a small caravan site in the Lake District, this is a chance that may not come up again for years and it would mean so much to us both to be able to get away occasionally if only for a couple of days, this would be especially beneficial for my wife as she finds town living particularly bad for her wellbeing, there are times when we both feel genuinely trapped. I know there are people in worse situations than us but we would be so grateful for any contribution to our target which would pay for the actual site pitch and a small secondhand caravan. This would make such a difference to our lives. Thank you.
