On October 31st we cruelly lost our dear friend, Paula Kingdon, in a car accident. Our Paula was practically one of our family, but her influence, respect and love spread far and wide, not just in our circle of friends but through the hundreds and hundreds of children, and later, their children, who she inspired during 40 years, 20 of them as head, at Westfield Infants School in Chesterfield. In lieu of flowers, we are raising money to donate to the school to create lasting memorials to Paula, in the form of a brightly coloured seating area for children and parents, the commissioning of the school logo bearing Paula's name to be hung in the school hall, and the sponsorship of a child or children in link schools in Africa and India. Although this is primarily aimed at our friends who have expressed a desire to donate to such a fund, we are, of course, open to donations from any source.
