    Story

Peel L&p are greedy developers who are trying to build houses for profit on our beautiful Horwich Golf course, situated on the slopes of the Pennines. With a spectacular view ranging westwards from the Irish sea southwards towards the Cheshire countryside, they want to ruin our precious green space just to fill their coffers. Wildlife abound around the golf course and adjacent farmland, deer, falcons, owls and foxes etc are to be seen on a regular basis.

Our local councillors have voted to reject Peel's planning application three times, each time almost unanimously. We have also defeated Peel at the first public inquiry.

Horwich is a small place set just off the Pennine moors, between Bolton and Chorley, is not suited to overdevelopment, and will already be overcrowded with current plans to increase the population by 25%.

Peel are ignorant and don't understand they are not wanted in Horwich. There are plenty of brownfield sites for them to build on but they insist on ruining our green spaces.

Unfortunately they use their vast wealth to try and wear the small people down by repeatedly submitting planning applications, ignoring the wishes of the people and trying to force their designs in public inquiries. We need a good Barrister to defend our position, but the costs are high.

Please help us to raise the funds to fight Peel at the upcoming inquiry, and save our GREEN AND PLEASANT LAND.

    Thank You.

There are too many new developments in Horwich, time to call an end to them.
