So, here it is, this being my 40th year on this wonderful planet and I like to do things in cars, I am currently building a Citroen C1 (yes, seriously) to race in a 24hr endurance race at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. The race takes place 20th - 22nd October this year.

The race is part of the long standing Citroen 2CV racing which is immensely popular, just a few weeks ago they raced at Snetterton in the UK - another 24hr race, this is part of a more modern take on the idea - the C1 Racing Challenge. In this first year it consisted of 3 UK races with about 15 cars, we are jumping in against established cars for the almost season finale at one of the most iconic circuits in the world with a grid in excess of 70 cars - 30 of which will be C1's from around UK and Europe.

The car is coming along well, I have a team of drivers who will share the driving and we are all sharing costs we even have a mechanic. I am looking for some extra help to assist us along the way, the money raised will pay for extra testing and tyres and probably food, this will all go towards giving us the best chance of finishing the race - which has to be our first target.

So this is a bit of a 40th present to me but also a 70th present to my Dad who has always been with me during anything like this and this is just another one of those crazy adventures he, my brother and I like to do.
