I am embarking on a new challenge and taking part in the Ironman 70.3, Cebu, Phillipines on 5th Aug 18. This comprises of a 1.9km swim, followed by a 90km bike and then finishes with a 21.1km run. The challenge is not only the distances, but this will be undertaken in the heat (30 Degress) and 80% humidity.

I believe that if we are doing something to test ourselves, then make it even more worth while, so we have decided to try and raise money for the Children's Haven Orphanage located in Cebu, Phillipines. http://www.asffpi.webs.com

Albert Schweitzer Familienwerk Foundation Philippines Inc (ASFFPI), also known as Children’s Haven is a Orhanage located in Cordova on the Island of Mactan, Cebu, Philippines. The Orphanage was set up by Mrs. Martiniana D. Mercado a local lady (Executive Director) in 1997. The Orphanage houses approximate 80 children of varying ages. Children’s Haven also ensures that they all receive schooling in the local area and return daily to a safe and warm environment.
