I've raised £1000 to St Nicolas' Church Taplow Southside Appeal from our Psalmathon

St. Nicolas’ Church Taplow launched their Southside Appeal on Sunday 4th March to raise the money needed to carry out repairs to the South Roof, South Rainwater Goods and South Wall of St. Nicolas’ Church Taplow. We succesfully raised the money (£95,000) for the North Roof, North Rainwater Goods and North Wall in 2014 and 2015, and the work was completed during 2015 and 2016. During 2017 work was completed (£4,300) on our Tower Parapet and Spire, which leaves the work on the Southside of the church (£75,000) to be completed to finally carry out all the building work identified as “urgent” in our 2014 Quinquennial Architectural Survey.
Our church is in the centre of Taplow Village, and serves our village, our village school and the local community. It is a church with a strong musical heritage that is loved by all.
This Crowdfunding Appeal is specifically focussed on our Psalmathon in St. Nicolas’ Church Taplow on Sunday 16th September.
During the Psalmathon we plan to sing, sequentially but continuously, all 150 Psalms to Anglican Chant from 8 a.m. until (approximately!) 8 p.m.
It should be quite an experience for singers and audience alike.
The Psalmathon is one of several fundraising events in 2018, details of which can be found within our Southside Appeal.
