Story
Phil Merrison was my younger brother, son, devoted father of two wonderful children, beloved partner and selfless campaigner and supporter of mental health charities and support groups. Having suffered himself for many years he tragically succumbed to his inner demons on 21st February 2020 and took his own life. He created his own website www.aplatformtotalk.co.uk, started his own business and campaigned to raise awareness of the disease which had dominated his life for so long.
Phil was a lifelong sportsman and more recently embraced triathlon, competing up to the gruelling Ironman distance with his great friends at Cleethorpes Triathlon Club to publicise and tell his journey.
Through this medium we will start to create a legacy in his honour to ensure his remarkable endeavours and compassionate acts were not in vain and his name will live on.

I got to Know Phil in November when we began to support each other. Phil was a hugely decent human being & it was my privilege to know and connect with Phil. Deepest sympathy to his family & friends.
