My friend Recently moved to the Philipines as a way of a new life, he likes to remind his friends how privelaged we really are. I’’d just finished work, got on facebook after a stressful day at work moaning as you do about the trivial matters in life then to come across Eds post, he’d published a picture of these two kids on the street with nothing and no room for the kids at the local orphanage as there are limited resources, he captioned it “you don’t know how bad you have it until you live life as a Philipine street kid”, I asked if he had got to know any of the kids so I could send him some money over. He explained there are just too many to help. Reading up about it, there are nearly 2 million homeless children and with this and that one picture alone its heart renching to know. God knows what £10000 could get those children but my aim is to do anything i can to raise what I can to help this situation. Being a father I could never imagine my child being in this situation, we over indulge in things we don‘t need and sometimes we forget about the world around us. It‘s one thing seeing the advertisements to help big charities but to have someone you know be in the thick of it sending you pictures, capturing it in the moment, it just makes it all the more real, please help in giving and i’ll keep everyone updated with how ever penny has helped.
