As part of a team, in August of this year, I will be travelling to India to work predominantly at an orphanage called Haven Home in a town called Vizianagaram. This visit will also involve assisting with rural village projects in the Andhra Pradesh province.
Haven Home was set up by an Indian Christian couple and it is funded entirely through charitable donations. It provides not only schooling for the orphaned children but also a home, where they are given the chance to re-build their lives.
With my team, we will be travelling to the mountain villages to provide food and supplies. Here, we also hope to bring a bore-well to enable the village community with access to clean drinking water. Whilst working at Haven Home, I will be helping to run events for the children, paint areas of the orphanage and teach English in the school.
I believe that this trip will not only provide me with an experience of a lifetime, but also help me to give back to those who are not as fortunate.

Whilst studying for my A-Levels, I hope to fund raise £1,500 to cover my travel expenses.
With my team we will be hosting events to raise funds, including bake sales, quiz nights and an auction.
