I recently heard that telephone boxes were to be decommissioned and noticed that we have an old fashioned box opposite M&J news at the corner of Park Place (Horsham, West Sussex).. As an ICU nurse I am really interested in keeping people healthy and one way is through local defibrillators and supporting our local Community First Responder Scheme.

Horsham Community Responders is a local charity supports establishing defibrillators that can be accessed quickly in the event of collapse. Defibrillators make all the difference when the heart goes into critical rhythms as your chance of survival can drop by up to 10% per minute without the intervention of CPR and these potentially life saving pieces of equipment.

It would be relatively easy to work together to get a defibrillator installed in the phone box, but would require raising sufficient funds to renovate the box and assist the charity.
