Many of you may be aware of the terrible tragedy back in August that took the life of a beautiful little girl, Pearl Black, as she returned home with her father after a Sunday afternoon visit to the local park.

Her father, Paul, an influential and inspiring figure is a brilliant actor, singer and artist and has been a key figure in the success of Gurnwah Productions' plays 'Wizard of Gurnwah', 'Breathe' and 'OMG'. Most of all, he's a great friend.

The cast of the latest production, 'I could have been an astronaut if it wasn't for Malachy McAleer' are all busy fundraising with the intention of donating all proceeds to The Pearl Black Memorial Fund. To this end, I'd like to ask if you'd be willing to sponsor my efforts this coming Sunday 8th October as I tackle the Brecon Beacons 10k Cam i'r Bannau 10k
