Pickerings Lifts North West are raising £1,150 to purchase a publicly accessible defibrillator and to provide free training sessions so our staff & mobile engineers feel confident using it. This isn’t just about buying equipment; it’s about empowering people to step in and save a life in our surrounding and local area.

To kick off this great cause, Kelly Napier, Warren Griffin, Alan McEvatt and Jamie Spencer are taking part in the Shorts Triplex Challenge on the 21st May 2026!

Also throughout the year, we will be setting up additional challenges and fundraising events, we would love for you to get involved!

TRIPLEX CHALLENGE -

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Lake District, teams from across the industry will take on three back-to-back challenges:

• A 7-mile hike up Helvellyn

• A 3-mile canoe across Ullswater Lake

• A 4-mile team carry of a weighted load

Why this matters:

• Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time.

• Survival rates drop by around 10% for every minute without defibrillation.

• AEDs are simple to use, even for people with no medical background.

• Training builds confidence and ensures more people can act quickly in an emergency.

What your donation will support:

• A high quality defibrillator (AED) suitable for public use.

• Training sessions led by a qualified instructor.

• Maintenance and replacement pads/batteries to keep the AED ready for use.

Our goal: We aim to raise £1,150.00 to cover the cost of the AED, cabinet, installation, and training. Every contribution — big or small — brings us closer to making our community safer.
