Story

Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children's Paediatric Intensive Care Unit has a team of Consultants, Doctors and Nurses jumping out of perfectly good aeroplanes to raise money for the NI Children's Hospice!

The Hospice provides specialist respite, symptom management and end of life palliative care to children and young people living with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.

We really appreciate all the work the hospice does; from end of life care for our patients in a more homely, non- clinical environment, to long term respite care and day trips. Children and families can enjoy time together in a safe place with specially trained staff on hand at all times to care for the whole family.

Some of our patients parents have kindly said a few words to explain what the hospice meant/means to them and why it is so important...

"The hospice was amazing, for just being there for one night you would think we were there a long time. To have all the family there when she went to sleep was so special, and to take her a walk around the grounds meant a lot."

"An amazing place to spend quality time together as a family. From the first minute we spent at the hospice our daughters had big smiles from cheek to cheek. Precious memories we will cherish together forever."

The hospice relies on fundraising to keep doing this amazing work, we would love to raise as much as possible for them, thank you :)
