Story
Pigments In Positivity CIC is a Sunderland-based Community Interest Company helping people feel more at home in their skin following cancer, surgery, injury, burns, scarring and gender-affirming procedures.
We provide specialist restorative medical tattooing, including 3D nipple and areola tattooing, scar camouflage and MCA scar revision.
For many people, these treatments are about far more than appearance. They can represent an important final step after surgery, illness or trauma, helping someone reconnect with their body, restore confidence and move forward.
Unfortunately, access to specialist restorative tattooing can be limited, and private treatment may simply be unaffordable.
That's why Pigments In Positivity CIC exists.
We operate a Supported Contribution model, with funding and donations helping us provide fully funded and subsidised treatment places according to individual circumstances. Our aim is simple: someone's financial situation shouldn't automatically prevent them from accessing restorative care that could make a meaningful difference to their wellbeing.
What will the £5,000 help us do?
Our £5,000 fundraising target will help us provide more subsidised and fully funded restorative treatment places for people across the North East.
Donations will contribute towards both the delivery of supported treatments and the specialist materials needed to provide them safely, including medical tattoo pigments, sterile single-use needle cartridges, clinical consumables, dressings and aftercare.
They will also help us reach people who may not currently know this support exists and develop referral relationships with healthcare professionals, charities and community organisations.
Every donation helps.
£5 can help towards aftercare and clinical consumables.
£25 can contribute towards the cost of a supported appointment.
£50 can make a meaningful contribution towards subsidising someone's treatment.
£100 or more can make a substantial contribution towards restorative care for someone who may otherwise be unable to access it.
As we develop the service and gather treatment-cost data, we'll continue to show as transparently as possible how donated funds are being used and the difference they are making.
Who could your donation help?
It could help someone following breast cancer surgery who wants to complete their reconstruction with a realistic 3D nipple and areola tattoo.
It could support someone following gender-affirming surgery.
It could help someone living with scarring following an operation, accident, burn or other life-changing experience.
Most importantly, it can help make specialist restorative care accessible to someone for whom cost would otherwise be a barrier.
Pigments In Positivity CIC is a Community Interest Company. Money raised through this page will be used to further our community purpose and increase access to restorative medical tattooing and scar revision.

Whether you donate £5, £50 or simply share this page with someone else, you're helping us build a service where restorative care is accessible based on need, rather than someone's ability to pay.
Thank you for helping us restore more than skin.
