Very sadly and very suddenly we lost a good friend and valued member of our close working team.

Piotr Zukiel sadly passed last night and it has hit us all hard. With little family here in Edinburgh it is his mothers wish is to get him home so he can be laid to rest in his home country of Poland.

Due to current Covid restrictions and his family being unable to travel here to deal with arrangements, his work colleagues and friends here want to be able to do this and show our support as we can not say goodbye as we normally would.

With initial enquiries the cost of getting Piotr back to Poland will start at around £4000 plus the funeral will still be on top of that.

This page is mainly for his friends and work family to contribute and gather funds in one place but please feel free to share it far.

Piotr worked with Daybreak for 6 years and was always the first to help out anyone, we want to make sure we can now show his family how much he was part of our lives and help them by taking this financial pressure of them.

Bardzo niespodziewanie i nagle straciliśmy dobrego przyjaciela i cenionego wspolpracownika naszej firmy.

Piotr Zukiel odszedł wczoraj w nocy,co bardzo mocno nas dotknęło. Mając małą rodzinę tutaj w Edynburgu, pragnieniem jego mamy jest zabranie go do domu, aby mógł spocząć w rodzinnej Polsce.

Ze względu na obecne ograniczenia firmy w zwiazku z Covid oraz niemożność przyjazdu rodziny do Edynburga w celu załatwienia formalnosci, jego koledzy z pracy oraz przyjaciele chcą mieć możliwość okazania swojego wsparcia, ponieważ nie możemy go pożegnać tak, jak bysmy tego chcieli.

Wstepny koszt transportu ciala Piotra z powrotem do Polski to około 4000 funtów, plus dodatkowo koszt pogrzebu.

Piotr pracował w Daybreak przez 6 lat i zawsze był pierwszym, który każdemu pomagał, chcemy mieć pewność, że teraz możemy pokazać jego rodzinie, jak bardzo był częścią naszego życia i pomóc im, biorąc na siebie tę finansową presję.
