For those of you who know Piper, you'll know that she became seriously ill because of contracting Leptospirosis in April. She's been battling a number of serious illnesses as a result of this, not least being Chronic Kidney Diseases and Chronic Pancreatitis. The last 3 weeks, we've been lulled into a false sense of security and have felt like we've had our energetic, life-loving dog back. Unfortunately, she's very ill again and is back at Riverside Vets on fluids and pain relief. Her prognosis isn't great but we want to help her beat this for as long as she's able and we need some help. Our bills so far are up to about £10,000. We were insured, but only up to £4000. We've already paid about £2000 to our local vets and have raided savings and maxed out credit cards to meet the balance for the rest. Unfortunately, that balance looks like its going to increase dramatically again in the coming days and I'm not too proud to ask for help. If you've met me, you'll know how much I love her. I've probably bored many of you with pictures and stories about her. She's my family and I'd do anything for her.
