Story

Support our junior cricketers (Astley Bridge Bears) and our visually impaired cricketers (Greater Manchester Falcons), who have teamed up to complete the Pitch2Pitch challenge. A sponsored walk from Old Trafford Cricket Ground to Astley Bridge Cricket Ground walking 18 miles!

We will have the visually impaired players , juniors players, parents, families and coaches all taking part in a sponsored walk on 03/04/26. The money raised will go towards better facilities, equipment, coaching and the day to day running of junior cricket and visually impaired cricket activities.

Astley Bridge Cricket Club is a not-for-profit, community-run club at the heart of Astley Bridge, bringing people together for over 100 years. Today, our role in supporting local children, families, and communities is more important than ever. We are one of the very few community clubs in the country to have a visually impaired cricket team fully integrated into a mainstream club.

Each week, we support over 111 junior cricketers and 22 visually impaired cricketers and 48 senior cricketers. Located in an area of deprivation where many young people face real disadvantage, the club often provides the only safe, positive space to play sport, build friendships, and develop self-belief. With strong role models and a welcoming environment, we help young people thrive — not just get by.

Your donations are vital to our continued community impact.
