Story
Valentines Day celebrates love, friendship and companionship. But what happens if you have no-one to share it with, or no-one who wants to share it with you? On Valentines day there will be over 13,000 homeless people who will be alone on the streets across the UK. A number that continues to rise every year.
We are Desi and Laura and on 14th February we are going to give back and share the love and compassion with those who are less fortunate. London is Britain's homelessness centre with every 1 in 59 people living on the street. We will visit some of the worst boroughs of London for homelessness and give away free pizza, snacks and drinks in an attempt to share this day with those who are in most need.
One act of kindness, can go a long way. Research has shown that giving makes us far happier than receiving. Giving money to others or to charity will put a much bigger smile on your face than spending it on yourself!
So please join us in our cause by giving the gift of love and compassion to those who most need it on Valentines Day, and donating to our JustGiving page. Any remainings will be donated to Shelter, the charity for housing and homelessness.
Generosity and caring for one another is what makes us human, let’s not forget that.
