Story
Hall Farm is much valued locally as an open green space where people can walk, enjoy the fresh air and take in the views. It is rich in natural resources such as the River Loddon and The River Mole (also known as Barkham Brook). Extensive flood plains towards Shinfield. Several areas of Ancient Woodland, namely Loaders Copse, Gravel Pit Wood, The Gorse, Dog Kennel Copse, Brick Kiln Copse and Furzen Coppice (also known as Parsons Coppice}, as well as the recognized Local Wildlife Sites of Loaders Copse, Gravel Pit Wood and The Holt. The site includes listed buildings such as the original church of St. Bartholomew (now just the remains) and Mole Bridge Farm.
This land is owned by the University of Reading, who were originally gifted the land for educational purposes. They now propose to sell the land for housing development as part of the Wokingham Borough Council Revised Local Plan Update.
There are other, more sustainable and appropriate sites for housing. This campaign is about persuading Reading University that their needs as educators, community partners and evangelists of environmental sustainability are better served by a number of alternative uses, particularly: Growing food, education in sustainability and agriculture, improving mental health and working with the community to create a lasting legacy for future generations living in and around this area.

I object to NOT being involved in the planning of this so called "Garden Village" when it is such an environmentally and historically important site.
