Story

The pavilion at Plough Lane was opened in 1996 and has been a key facility for The John Fisher School. It has always represented a welcome changing room for players, a place of refuge from the cold during rugby matches for parents/carers and a place to celebrate and refresh post match. Over the years, the pavilion has been used by the JFA (Parent Association) to host events such as St. Patricks Night, packing Christmas Hampers for the community and as HQ for the running of our annual 'Fisher All-Stars' Festival.

Plough Lane is at the heart of the school and the opportunities it gives to the students every single day. (Former student)

With such heavy usage, the facility has become worn and is desperate need of a renovation to make it fit for purpose for September. We need your help to raise £25,000 so that we can refresh and renew the home of so many wonderful school boy memories. Whether it was scoring a try, hitting a four, running house cross-country or playing football, Plough Lane is woven tightly into the sporting fabric of the school.

By raising £25,000, we are able to fix the roof, refresh the interior walls, update the changing rooms and replace the flooring. However, the money raised will also allow us to replace the 25 year old kitchen and knock through to create a new servery area. With so many famous sporting alumni, sporting successes and achievements, we will then be able to re-hang the plaques and shirts for all to see.

Plough Lane means so much to me as a former student at John Fisher. It makes me remember the pride, togetherness and enjoyment I had as part of the rugby team. (Mr. T Street- Alumni and Head of Physical Education)

Please share with former students, friends and family. With your generosity, we will be able to build upon the past, paving the way for even more magical memories for future cohorts of John Fisher students. Every student, no matter the sport or ability level, will get to enjoy the pavilion for years to come.

Fisher Forever.

Thank You.
