UPMUN WALKS TO THE INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE
For July's fundraiser, as a society, we are walking 679km in a month. This is the equilavent distance from Plymouth to the International Court of Justice to fundraise for the Shekinah Project.
Shekinah is a Devon & Cornwall based charity that provides opportunities for people in recovery or seeking recovery. This may include recovery from homelessness, drug and alcohol issues, offending behaviours or mental ill health.
We are supporting them for the rest of this year as these uncertain times have forced them to work with a skeleton staff and cancel their fundraising events.
As Plymouth students, we see first hand the ever-increasing rate of homelessness and the work they do to support those in our community.
