Historically we are renowned for supporting the community of Clowne by providing funding or donating materials and manpower for local projects and worthy causes. This time however, we could do with a bit of help ourselves. We have just bought the Old Crown Pub here in Clowne and have been granted planning permission to provide 3 log cabin type pods to be erected on site.

These pods will be for local people wanting to start up in business or looking at maybe getting premises, without the risk of being tied into a lengthy lease and paying premium rates for such a facility,( the two main factors that put most people off trying a new business venture). The pods will be available on a relatively short term basis and costs from these will just cover the running costs. This will provide an opportunity for anyone who has often thought of setting up in business on their own with very low risk, a stepping stone to greater opportunities. These pods are not cheap but we think will be an amazing tool in promoting local business and encourage the community to prosper.

We would appreciate any help we can get to get this off the ground. Here at Clowne Landscaping we recognise the importance of supporting the local community as we wouldn't be where we are today without your continued support. So what we will do is, all the money raised from this project will be channelled towards providing the pods rent free for the first week until all funds raised are used up.

Not only will this fund provide opportunities for local entrepreneurs to flourish, this project will in turn provide a further opportunity for young adults with learning, health and social difficulties. These disadvantaged young people who otherwise would struggle to gain employment and flourish in our community will be given a chance within our teams of landscape gardeners and support staff that will be working at the new site The Old Crown Pub. We believe that given the right opportunity anyone can succeed and by providing a supportive work environment and Apprenticeship Training we can contribute positively to the future of these young people and to the future of Clowne.
