I've raised £200 to repay an elderly local resident who had her Birthday money taken from her.

Earlier in January an 81 year old Shepherds Bush resident had her bag taken whilst she was out shopping in the W12 Shopping Centre.
This is sad enough, however, unfortunately this occurred a couple of days before the ladies 82nd Birthday and almost £200 of Birthday money given to her by friends and family was in her bag. Similar to many people, this lady kept her life in her bag, so also taken was ALL of the ladies ID, banks cards, bus pass, house keys, diary and Rosary Beads left to the lady by her mother.
Since the incident the lady has had to immediately arrange new locks for her house (as she found herself locked out) and then replacement for all of the above list of items. This is all very difficult when you're 82, you don't use the internet, you have no access to your money and you have no travel pass to get around to banks etc to replace the above items and no ID to show when you get there!
The long and short of this is that this lady has been through a lot and we'll never be able to replace her mother's Rosary Beads and other personal items. However, I thought there may be people who may wish to donate to this lady to make sure she did not miss out on her Birthday money so I have set up this page on her behalf.
Any donations would be gratefully received by the lady and will go directly into her bank account. However, please read Just Giving's conditions, because due to the lady not being a charity Just Giving and the ladies bank will take a small percentage of the donation.
Thank you for you time and consideration,
