What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Polio Survivors are still here

Just imagine, every Survivor of Polio has access to a member of a Specialist Post-Polio Syndrome Team, every Survivor of Polio has the opportunity to have a wheelchair, crutches, or any mobility assistance so that they can leave the dark corner of their homes, and explore the world around them, every Survivor of Polio has access to welfare and social support when it is required, with help with telephone and internet costs, a free sim card for their second-hand ‘phone, every Survivor of Polio is a member of a local support group properly managed with welfare and social officers, regularly arranging get-togethers where members have contact with other Survivors to discuss common issues etc., just imagine ……………………………..

Help us to turn these imaginings into realities by giving £5/5$, £50/$50, or £500/$500 or whatever you can afford, and know that every donation made brings this reality ever closer.

Your donation will help to pay for the establishing of Specialist PPS Teams in every corner of our world, provide mobility equipment for every Survivor of Polio, give small grants to needy Survivors so that they can pay for telephone and Internet connections, give needy Survivors free sim cards for their second-hand mobile ‘phones, and assist with the establishment of local social groups to prevent any Survivor of Polio to ever feel alone and neglected ever again.

What an amazing gift your donation will give, to relieve the suffering of Polio Survivors now faced with the debilitating challenges of Post-Polo Syndrome whatever their home country.

We don’t have membership fees so that every Polio Survivor can access the resources that we provide, this means that your gift is truly the life blood of our Fellowship

So come on, let’s turn your imaginings into realities today by supporting the work that we are doing.

Thank you, on behalf of the 15 million Survivors of Polio, around the world.

Non-motor symptoms of PPS have considerable quality of life implications and are notoriously challenging to manage, and yet very few Medical Professionals have even a slight knowledge of Polio, and even less of PPS.

So our organisation, The World-Wide Fellowship of Polio Warriors, is working to Enlighten every Medical Professional, Health and Social Care Authority, Government, and World-Wide Action Group to the challenges faced by over 15 million Polio Survivors world-wide, and further, empower every Polio Survivor to have access to Appropriate and Professional Medical, Welfare, and Social Support in their home country

I am 70 years of age, and 66 years ago I was playing with my friend of the same age as young play mates do. Unknown to me my friend had caught Polio just recently, affecting his left foot. A few weeks later I am completely paralyzed, and in an iron lung.
