The World Scout Jamboree is taking place in West Virginia, America in July 2019 with a theme of “Unlock a New World”. This theme speaks to the new adventures, cultures and friendships that will be shared by Scouts from around the world.

Dan is a 14 yrs old Explorer Scouts in the Poole district and was very pleased and proud to have passed the assesment process for the WSJ and selected to attend this once in a lifetime event. He is extremely proud to be representing not only their own Scout troop but also the communities of Poole, Dorset and the UK at this event.

Each young person is responsible for raising the cost of the trip which is around £3700, through fundraising for the Scouts. Part of this cost also includes a Solidarity contribution which financially supports Scouts from less affluent and developing nations to attend this event.

We are supporting Dan with a series of fundraising events over the next 18 months but would be very grateful of any assistance you can give.
