Story
Three foot hole for almost 10 years!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have lived in the property for over 30 years and maintained it to the best of my ability and finances allowed. However, the landlord has failed to adequately maintain the property and it is in such a state of disrepair it has made me ill and I have had to stop work.
For example the roof has been leaking for 20 years. The landlord patch repaired the roof felt numerous times to no avail and repeatedly "Inspected" the roof themselves and with independent surveyors who 3 years ago diagnosed that the "Roofing felt had perished and could not tolerate anymore patch repairs" and the electrics in the loft space as so "dangerous they were a fire hazard". However, the landlord insists on carrying out more patch repairs.
This is causing me enormous distress and making me so unwell I cannot work, partly because I am allergic to the mold which is growing in the loft resultant of the leaks. Consequently, recent lung function tests diagnosed my lungs age as 30 years older than I am.
6 independent roofers have inspected the roof and loft, at my request and all verbally confirmed the roof felt has perished and cannot tolerate any more patch repairs.
However, the landlord refuses to acknowledge these findings and insists on more patch repairs.
I am hoping to raise enough money to pay for an official, fully Independent survey of the property as evidence of it's very poor condition and disrepair to achieve relevant and adequate repairs so my health will improve and I can return to gainful employment.
