    Story

I'm travelling to Greece this summer to work with the incredible charity Refugee4Refugees, helping their relief efforts with the refugee crisis in Europe. Refugee4Refugees is based in Lesvos, a Greek island, and works with asylum seekers works from the European border of the island coast. They respond to refugees in need of help as they enter EU waters and support them in the initial minutes and hours after arrival. Refugee4Refugees desperately needs volunteers, but also needs every penny of funds to go towards those most in need - the refugees coming onto the beaches. Therefore, they ask that volunteers cover their own travel to Greece, and the (low) cost of living and working on the island. I'm trying to cover as much of the costs as I can, but anything you could spare would be hugely appreciated!

      Update from the Page owner

We've hit 10% of the goal, and it's only been running a week! Thank you. So, so much. The generosity of you wonderful souls never fails to astonish me. The generosity of ANONYMOUS STRANGERS gives me hope for the future. I know that anonymity is a personal one, but please, let me know who you are so I can thank you properly, if not publicly, by name. In other news, I still have a way to go to reach my target, so if you have any spare change/advice/free hugs/four-leaf-clovers hanging around, they would all be very welcome. Love to you all x

Hey! I'm Poppy, a third-year uni student who wants to make a small corner of the world a better place. I just keep finding more corners. I'm working on that. I'm also working with an NGO helping asylum seekers to safety off the coast of Greece. Spare change/support appreciated!
