    Story

This is Kenny, Kenny is only 7 years old and has had a rough life, this is Kennys story -

When Kenny was age 2 (Only a puppy) he was not our little baby, he belonged to somebody else, he was locked in a dark garage, starved , beaten and distressed, he was basically left for dead. One day kenny got out and a lady found him and took him in , her name was Debbie. Debbie needed somebody to babysit Kenny as she was working for the night, so me and my nanna , Teresa Purdy, took him in for the night. As my nanna was still upset from the loss of our Bubbish (Golden Retriever who had to be put down because of old age) she promised herself that she would never get another dog because of the pain, but she was instantly hooked on Kenny. As Kenny needed a home and a good owner, Debbie let my nanna have Kenny. Kenny was the happiest dog alive till Early December 2015. In December 2015 , Kenny was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes , meaning it is insulin controlled. Near Christmas 2015 Kenny took a turn for the worst, we almost lost him, our whole family's hearts were breaking, the people Kenny saw when we took him on walks, when he would wait outside my primary school everyday with my nanna and mom , almost the whole of the community with shook with this. Me and my family were so lost ourselves that we didn't feel like celebrating Christmas. With my Nanna and Uncle Terry driving him to and forth from Canterbury and PDSA In Cliftonville everyday and him not being home we was allowed him home for Christmas. Christmas Day my Nanna and Uncle woke up to a Christmas Miracle...Kenny was jumping around , barking and being jolly. My nanna woke my family with a shocking phone call saying it was like he had risen from the dead and it was an amazing , jaw dropping recovery! He had to go back to the vets that evening as we were only allowed him for Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day. In January 2016, Kenny was allowed home. Late January we had notoiced kennys eye colour changing and he was bashing into everything , we took him to the vets and found out he has cataracts in both eyes and surgery would cost £3000 with my Nanna on benefits and Uncle working all he can we still cannot afford kennys eye surgery. Kenny still has weekly check ups and insulin jabs every night and morning. This has been Kennys Story and this is the reason why we need your help to Raise £3000 for Kennys Eyesurgery. #LetsHelpKenny #KennysLifeWillLiveLong #KennysLifeForTheWin❤️ Please help us and Kenny ❤️
