Story

⭐️The two charities Poppy and Gregor have chosen are so different but both so important. Please if you can sponser them anything at all for doing the kiltwalk it would be so apprecaited.Whatever sponsers they are lucky enough to get will be split equally between the two charities. 🐴Poppys passion for horses makes her want to support Redwings Horse sanctuary in Glenogil. They bring abandoned and neglected horses to a place of saftey to be cared for, loved and brought back to health. They then hope to rehome them to a new family or jusy to enjoy a healthy retirment. They have a farm you can visit to meet the horses and donkeys and take part in summer clubs and activities all to raise awareness and money for such an amazing sanctuary and a worthy cause.

⭐️Gregor chose to raise money for DASH, Dundee Autism Support Hub. Gregor is lucky enough to have an amazing friend called Martha who happens to have autism. From day one of school he has been so proud of how Martha deals with the battles she faces daily and yet just says “come on Gregor Melon“ and gets on with things. He gets frustrated that people and often adults dont take time to understand the reasons why Martha and kids with autism do the things the way they do. He says sometimes he is envious as Martha does the things we all wish we could do. She will dance and sing in public, be who she want to be and give an honest answer to a question. ⭐️One of Dash‘s objectives is to support and raise awareness of autism and to teach the public tollerance and acceptance, this enabling kids like Martha to be understood and supported in the community. There is so much you can learn from Martha and other kids with autism. ⭐️Gregor and the rest of our family are lucky enough to be allowed into Marthas world and its a wonderful place to be. If people are educated more on autism and took time to understand Martha and kids like her they may also have the honour of such friendships ⭐️Please if you can spare anything at all to help Poppy and Gregor it would be so appreciated. Thank you, Claire.
