There are over one million children in Ghana who do not attend school. This is because its not free to go to school in Ghana. Unlike the UK, the Ghanaian government asks families to pay for admission to government schools. When the average family survives of less that £1 a day, children of school age miss out on their education. This is why our first aim is to provide a free school place to the most needy children in Kumasi Ghana. We provide teachers, books, pens, uniforms, clean water and toilets and most importantly school dinners!

Our second aim is to provide children with two daily meals at the Brightlingsea School, in prevention of child labour and starvation. This aim is central in reducing the number of children attending school hungry and in the establishment of a positive cycle of education. This has led us to build, establish and sustain an early years school based in a rural village community, which opened in September 2016.

As now that you have read this 2 children have died from hunger. Our philosophy is, this simply isn't okay.
