Portable Vaccine Fridges Urgently Needed for Dorking's COVID-19 Roll-Out to Elderly Housebound Patients

The doctors and nurses at Medwyn Surgery plan to roll-out the COVID-19 vaccination of elderly housebound patients over the next two weeks. NHS England is providing one basic cool box which can be shared across the Dorking practices, but this limits the pace at which this potentially life-saving vaccine can be delivered.

To expedite this process, The Friends of Medwyn Surgery would like to purchase three portable vaccine fridges, which can be utilised by Medwyn and all of the other Dorking GP practices. The cool boxes can be plugged into a 12V car socket to keep the vaccines at the correct temperature whilst they are transported around the Dorking locality to our elderly housebound residents.
