Story
Portland School and Specialist College is a school for children and young people who have experienced Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. Currently pupils from Year 1 through to Year 11 are taught on a single site in Blythe Bridge. However, we are in the process of relocating Year 1 through to Year 7 to a new site in Trent Vale.

On the new site, the primary children would like to have some outdoor play equipment and access to a school library. This gives them the opportunity to burn off an excess of energy, develop confidence and social skills and develop a love of books and reading that will last them the rest of their lives.

The children who attend Portland have already faced many negative experiences in school and this has had a huge impact on their education and development so far. I want to help the children at Portland Trent Vale to have positive and exciting experiences in school and so am running a half marathon in a bid to raise some much needed extra funds to provide these additional items.
All money raised will go directly toward initially buying movable library boxes and then contributing toward outdoor play equipment. The more money we can raise, the better our provision will be able to help our children to reach their true and full potential in school.
So please donate what you can and pass this on to family and friends who may want to support our specialist provision.
