We all live in a society where homelessness and poverty rules and overtakes many of the areas that we call home. Although we go about our day to day lives as usual, we often forget those who have been forgotten by our governmental system or in general by local society. We shop, we spend money on items we don't even need sometimes, we walk down the street laughing with our friends and sipping that Starbucks coffee that we just paid about £4.00 for, yet we forget about that individual who is sat in the corner of the street, looking at the floor with an empty cup in front of them. Hoping that you will be the person who will fill that cup up with a few pennies. Yet, nothing.

We all have been there, someone has asked us for a small donation in the middle of the road, yet we have denied them as we genuinely don't have any spare change or because we think that change we give will be spent on drugs or alcohol.

Having worked in an area, all summer where you have seen these people on a day to day basis and how much of a struggle it is for them, for even the smallest of things such as a glass of water, or a warm place to sleep, really opens up your eyes that there needs to be change, something needs to be done to help these people.

Portsmouth Pharmacy Society are raising money to buy food, where we will produce a range of meals. These meals will then be distributed to those in need in our local society, those people sat on the floor begging for money, those with tents up which they call home or those who simply just need a good home cooked meal.

Help us to help them and help us to raise as much money as we can to make a change
