    Story

    UPDATE

5 of the 6 pups have been caught and are now receiving love, care and attention whilst we try to raise the funds to get them vaccinated, neutered and chipped, also funds for transport to their forever homes once found.

I have brought the figure we are trying to raise down from £1500 to £1000 as I will cover the costs for the two pups that I have agreed to foster and rehome here in The UK

There is still a lot of things needed for the remaining 3 and the final pup if we manage to catch it, therefore we are literally pleading for any donation large or small to this cause to enable us to get the pups the things they need.

Also there is the case of the mother who also needs to be darted and spayed to stop the neverending cycle, and hopefully bring down the number of dogs like this that we come across every year.

The Dog Situation in Portugal is a lot worse than many people think, every single week the Government run Canils (Kennels) Put down a lot of completely healthy dogs, all breeds and all ages.

The Kennels are at breaking point so a lot of dogs are kept in small spaces and not treated as well as they could be

There is a group of very dedicated individuals in Portugal that rescue and rehome hundreds of the dogs every year, usually to save them from the fate of the Canils, they hold car boot sales, beg donations and have

online auctions to try and help cover the costs of Vet bills, Transport and Food, this Appeal is to help 6 Abandoned puppies who would otherwise have been facing the CANIL !
