Positive Journeys Seniors is Bexley’s forum for young adults leaving our care which is now in its 8th year! Young Leaders who are members of Positive Journeys Seniors have continued to achieve through the work of the forum; coproducing a programme of monthly activities to prepare young people for adulthood, delivering training to a range of professionals about learning from lived experiences and realising new experiences and social support through additional trips and activities.

Our annual Positive Journeys Seniors fundraiser is to help raise funds for:

1. A Celebration event for Bexley Young Adults Leaving Care as part of National Care Leavers Month in November 2025 to provide additional social support and to raise awareness of the needs of care experienced young adults

2. A Seasonal Christmas Event for Bexley Young Adults Leaving Care in December 2025, which will include a traditional Christmas dinner

3. 50 Winter Care Packages for Young Adults Leaving Care who are experiencing greater hardship and vulnerability and who will benefit from our additional support and care

Christmas is a time of joy and giving and we also want to share this with our young adults in Bexley who are leaving our care, and who may be in need of additional support. For a young adult who has been in care, Christmas can be a time of greater hardship and isolation, especially for young adults who live alone and who may have limited social and family networks.
