One of our areas of ministry is the Parish of Old St Pancras Youth Holiday. This has been a long running annual trip for 8-18 year olds from the parish. Each year we invite young people from across the parish to an activity holiday outside of London. It’s an opportunity for making friends, fun and fellowship.

Around 40% of the children in this parish live below the poverty line and come from fragmented homes. Many of them may not otherwise get a holiday, or even have an opportunity to see what is beyond London. With so much in their lives which often stop them being children, we aim to provide a safe, nurturing environment with firm boundaries in which they can be children again.

We rely heavily on donations so that no child is prevented from coming. This includes buying things such as toiletries or outdoor clothing if needed.

We do things like abseiling and wall climbing, archery and canoeing, trips to the beach, campfires and outings to local landmarks.

This year we are going to Little Canada, a PGL centre on the Isle of White from the 24th July – 28th July 2017. We are raising funds so that we can subsidise up to 20 children to have this much needed experience.
