Story

We are working really hard to fundraise £15k to support four local Scouts, aged 14 to 16, who have been selected to attend the 24th World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia in July 2019.

This is an amazing opportunity for our scouts to experience a unique international adventure and develop personally and have a positive longer term impact on Scouting and beyond.

Our Scouts will share new adventures, cultures and make friends with other Scouts from around the world during the 12 day event. The theme at this jamboree is ‘unlock a new world’, and during their time away they will work with fellow scouts from around the world. They will leave with a wider view of the world, a deeper understanding of North America, and unite as members of a global community working together for mutual gains that improve everyone’s situation.

The Jamboree hosts scouts from over 200 countries, there will be thousands of young people learning from each other and making lasting friendships and connections which will be the basis for worldwide relationships in the years ahead.

We would be very grateful if you would consider making a donation towards our fundraising target, any amount, large (!) or small. Every little helps, as they say!
