    Story

From 05/8/20 this fundraising page will be closed to new donations having reached and exceeded its goal of £3000. Your generous donations are now being put to use to help fund the making and distribution of 3d printed visors etc... for use in numerous locations across Moray. For more details of our Covid-19 project activities please read the posts below and the press links also below. Thank you for your generous support over the past four months.

N.B. We have a new Just Giving page supporting the ongoing Covid-19 ongoing and the work of Moray Makerspace. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/moraymakerspace.

When we started at the end of March 2020 we wanted to help our local community during this unprecedented crisis. With your generous support we have been able to do that and will continue to do so. (see press reports lower down on the page and on our new Just Giving Page).

The T-Exchange (Moray Firth Makerspace) are making and delivering thousands of potentially life-saving 3d printed face visors, face mask relief straps and door dongles for local health centres and other facilities. Locations have included every Medical Centres, Care Homes, Pharmacies, Very/Sheltered Housing, Home Carers, Schools, Childcare Hubs and other facilities in Moray.

Since the project started nearly three months ago we have delivered over 2800 visors to 130 locations across Moray. In addition they have delivered over 1250 single-use visors, over 2000 face mask relief straps (fits behind the head and takes mask elastic away from your ears) and 150 door dongles (fits in the hand and allows the user to avoid touching door handles, cash points etc...).

If you know anyone who needs a free visor etc... just use our contact form at www.moraymakerspace.com

Should the circumstances change where supplies are no longer demanded, we will donate any leftover funding to a local NHS-related charity.
