Please Support Stuart & Give Generously
Local Businessman, Entrepreneur and Radio Presenter Stuart Moore , has very, very generously volunteered to shave his ENTIRE Head of Hair in support of free PPE Visor manufacturing DURING the Milton Keynes Business Growth Club Zoom meeting on 5th June. In Stuart's own words "with all that's happening around Covid-19 making much needed face masks is a great cause and I wanted to support this fantastic initiative".

Stuart added "This is a once in a lifetime event, so please make it worthwhile and donate as much as you can to support a great cause"
The Project - Free PPE Visors
Do you wish there was more you could do to help nurses and other health care workers get the high quality personal protection equipment (PPE) they need to protect themselves whilst they take great care of us?
You’ll have seen the news headlines about the national shortage of PPE. So, what can you do to help?
You’ll have heard the terrible stories about low-quality, unsafe equipment being imported from all over the world. You may also know about people desperately producing small quantities very slowly using their 3D Printers. Their efforts have been heroic but it’s still too slow to bridge the gap.
From my background in industry and in collaboration with others we realised that the best way to quickly produce a high quality product at a low production cost was to invest in a proper injection moulding tool.
Local Inventor and British manufacturer Jim Randall, has designed a simple but effective high quality visor that can be produced very quickly and easily with the use of this tool. Unlike visors which use a basic foam strip which can hold the virus, Jim's design is purely plastic, therefore is more hygienic and can be re-used if necessary.
Jim and his business partner John have joined me to donate £3,000 of our own money to buy the injection moulding tool so these visors can be donated to local Hospitals, Care Homes and other Care Organisations all across Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire. If your organisation needs some please contact us.
Using our tooling we can now produce at least 1,200 visors per day. These visors will be produced at cost for only 50p each. There is no profit in this for any of us and that cost does not even include the tooling. The money for that has been donated by the three of us.
So, here’s how you can help. Donate whatever you can afford and for every 50p we receive we’ll make one visor. So, for £10 we can make 20 visors, for £20 we can make 40 and of course we’d really love £50 so we can make 100. All the visors we make will be donated free to any local health care organisations who need them. This will include hospices and other charity led health care providers where extra money to buy PPE at the currently high prices is just not there.
Make sure you donate now and then share this page with all your local Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire friends and contacts by email and social media. We’d also love to galvanise our vibrant local business community in Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire support this project.
Just to remind you, one visor will be made for every 50p donated by you and your friends. So, £10 donated makes 20 visors, £20 makes 40, £50 makes 100 and of course we’d love £100 so we can make 200 visors free for local health care organisations.
Remember, these visors are single-use for most healthcare organisations so their need will be great as the Covid 19 Corona virus crisis continues. It’s inevitable that shortages will continue. It’s also highly likely that prices from commercial organisation will increase as the lockdown lifts and demand from non healthcare settings outstrips supply.
You can help us reach the target of £3,000 to match our own funding and produce 6,000 visors to give away for free. Thanks for your support, we really appreciate it.

Below is a picture of Jim's unique design. By making it all from plastic it can be cleaned and re-used if needed.
