I've raised £800 to provide consulting to small businesses and families in under-resourced communities with previously no access to loan capital in Panama

Having previously volunteered within an Orphanage in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the summer of 2016 , I am now trying to help an entire community in Panama, located in Latin America.
The aim of the trip is to aid in creating sustainable development solutions to improve the overall socio-economic level of the under-resourced community. I will be attempting to identify, improve, and expand micro-enterprises while working through community-owned and operated credit and savings cooperatives in local communities.
In other words, invest into the community, encourage members to start their own company and improve the ease to access credit. Speaking to previous friends that took part in the Business Brigade's programme, I learn of how the local Farmers did not know how many trees they had planted and how she devised an efficient and simple method to track spending and income.
The money I raise will go towards an annual Chapter Contribution that goes directly toward the Community Investment Fund which enables year-round economic development in the community. Specifically, the Fund supports community bank capitalisation for small businesses, and the on-going impact evaluation of the program.
I have set a target of £800, which I do hope to exceed and ensure the most help possible for the community. From my time in the Bosnian Orphanage, I have witnessed the positive impact of such programmes, and encourage everyone to get involved themselves with volunteering chapters across the world.
