My story follows recent surgery in hospital. As both feet were operated on leaving me unable to move swiftly especially going to the toilet.

I’m often in a lot of pain and weight bearing is difficult and I have been advised to use crouches along with specialist shoes, I’m doing the best I can to aid my recovery but it’s slow moving as I do not have any help and can only do the best I can as someone who lives alone.

I have been advised to take at least 10 weeks off work before I go back and even then I have to avoid being on my feet for to long. Just the thought of going back prematurely creates anxiety and I see this as a set back.

Work is great and I love my job as a someone who cares for the sick and injured but being off work means and I don’t get paid during this period of sickness, my recent operation was considered as an urgent case so I was unable to sort out finances prior.

Understandingly this has impacted on my personal finances and it’s hard going keeping up with the payments on my rented accommodation in addition to the numerous taxi fares to and from the hospital for follow up and psychotherapy and I want to take the Doctors advice and attempt to recover during the time frame I was advised of.

I am trying to stay positive and is appealing for anyone that can help.

I’m a law biding citizen and someone who is very charitable only this time I am the one who needs aid.
