Dear All,

As you will be aware Kathryn Irvine-Fortescue is retiring at the end of this term. She joined Winchester College as Matron of Chernocke in 1993 and then onto Matron of College in 2005. She has done a wonderful job of looking after our boys, as well as lending her hand to many other tasks around the school.

I am sure you will agree she has been amazing and will be a hard act to follow. We wanted to show our appreciation by getting her something special from all the parents, past and present, and any old boys who would like to donate. After some thought we came up with the idea of an organised holiday to visit the villas and gardens of the Italian lakes. This will encompass her love of gardens, travel and Italy. The company we propose to use is Brightwater Holidays, the target amount would pay for an organised 8 day holiday for two people, full board and all travel. Once we know how much we can raise we will have a better idea of which trip we can afford. Please give generously!
