Prestige Nursing + Care are raising funds to enable one of our clients to have the most magical family trip of a lifetime to Disney Land Paris supported by suitably trained staff.

Kain who has turned two in January has a number of life limiting conditions, he has severe epilepsy, is registered blind, has severe dystonia meaning he is often in pain for prolonged periods of time and recently he has been diagnosed with a condition known as PCH. He is only one of six people in the world known to have this diagnosis.

This trip to Disney has been long overdue for the family, they have already had this booked twice and both times it has had to be cancelled, the last time due to Kain being admitted to hospital where he remained for almost four months.

Thankfully Kain is now home and along with a new addition to the family (lovely Luna) the trip has been re-booked for July this year. The family feel that this will be their last opportunity get to Disney with Kain due to funds and also the consideration that Kain is on a palliative care plan. A terrible fact that the family have had to come to terms with.

The trip to Disney is a goal set for all of the family to work towards, and a trip that will no doubt help the family to make wonderful memories that will last them a life time to look back on and remember in years to come.

Due to Kain’s needs the family now need to take support staff with them to care for Kain as he requires round the clock care and supervision to manage his needs and keep him as comfortable as possible during the trip.

For the family to be able to take their daughter on this trip then around the clock support staff are a must for the family. Prestige absolutely feel that this should be a FAMILY trip and we will do what ever we can to make this happen.
