I'm raising £5,000 for a community project

At the heart of every Gurdwara is Langar a free community kitchen where everyone, regardless of background, faith, or status, is welcomed with a warm meal and open arms.

Every Sunday from 12pm to 3pm, Guru Nanak Gurdwara Singh Sabha (Sikh Gurdwara), 19a Bow Ln, Preston PR1 8ND, serves fresh vegetarian meals to hundreds of people. This food is lovingly prepared by Sikh volunteers as part of Seva (selfless service), staying true to Sikh values of equality, compassion, and community.

We are currently refurbishing our entire Langar Hall, a vital space that has brought people together for generations. The new hall will help us better serve the growing number of people who come to eat, connect, and find support in a safe and inclusive space.

Rebuilding and modernising the kitchen and dining area

Providing better facilities for volunteers

Ensuring we can continue to serve hundreds of meals every week
