SUMMARY: BLEACHED is an feature film, set on the island of Jersey. BLEACHED follows Aella’s small-town summer, where her complicated relationships quickly pull focus. Aella’s impulsive and self destructive behavior begin to ripple through those closest to her. The limits of friendship and love are tested, as she constantly pushes people away, only to pull them back in. Throughout the summer, Aella’s decisions—punctuated by emotional detachment, overindulgence, and a constant search for validation—have pervasive consequences on those around her, leaving a wake of fracture. After betraying a number of close relationships through a futile act of infidelity, Aella awakens to her mess.
