20% of Brazil’s population live in favelas. In extremely dangerous and unhygeinic conditions. The children only go to school for 3 hours a day as there are only 4 schools in a favela of 180,000 people. It is impossible for them to live, work and survive on the money they are given for a week’s work. Even harder if they want their children to be properly educated. So I have taken it upon myself to help in any way I can. First, food, toiletries and other necessities but the end goal is much bigger, education and housing.
